In honor of Valentine's Day — or Galentine's Day as we like to call it over here at Gloss Angeles — we have Matthew Herman, co-founder of Boy Smells, on the pod to discuss all things candles, fragrance, and emotions (specifically the ones that certain scents can evoke). Matthew and his partner David Kien founded the brand in their LA kitchen as an experiment back in 2016 and now, Boy Smells is one of the most popular candle brands on the market. They even have a collab with the one and only Kacey Musgraves (you've heard Kirbie talk about their "Slow Burn" candle on the pod, no doubt). In this episode, Matthew shares how they transitioned from fashion to candles, what the process is like when creating different scents, and the upcoming launch of the brand's new "cologne de parfums” on March 2nd.
